What is FOXO4?
FOXO4-DRI (FOXO4 D-Retro-Inverso) is a synthetic 47-amino-acid peptide composed of D-amino acids in reverse sequence relative to the FOXO4-p53 binding interaction domain. With a molecular weight of approximately 5,260 Da, it was first described in published senescence research literature in 2017. FOXO4-DRI is studied in cellular senescence and longevity research models that investigate p53 displacement from senescent-cell complexes and selective induction of apoptosis in senescent cell populations. Also searched as FOXO4-DRI peptide, FOXO4 D-retro-inverso, or senolytic FOXO4, it is supplied as a lyophilized powder for laboratory reference use.
